Gourmet Beef Casserole
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 16 oz. can tomatoes
- 2 tsp. salt
- 4 medium mushrooms, sliced or 1 can
- 1/2 c. Burgundy
- 5 oz. tomato puree/paste
- 5 oz. water
- 1 clove garlic, crushed
- 2 tsp. sugar
- 3 oz. cream cheese
- 8 oz. sour cream
- 10 oz. cheese, grated
- 8 oz. noodles
- 1/3 c. onion, chopped
- Brown beef and drain.
- Stir in next 8 ingredients and simmer, uncovered, for 10 minutes.
- Cook
- and drain noodles.
- Beat together cream cheese, sour cream and onion and add to noodles. Pour one cup of meat sauce into a 3-quart casserole.
- Cover with a layer of noodles.
- Sprinkle with a layer of cheese.
- Repeat layers, ending with meat sauce, then cheese.
- Bake at 350u0b0 for 40 minutes.
