Sweet and Spiced Pecans

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. In a medium bowl, stir together the agave, pepper, salt, allspice and sugar.
  3. Add the pecans, tossing to coat well.
  4. Spread the pecans in a shallow baking pan and bake in the middle of the oven 15 to 18 minutes.
  5. Stir and bake 7 minutes more.
  6. Transfer to a sheet of parchment paper and let cool.
  7. When cool enough to handle, break apart the pecans.

  9. These also freeze beautifully.
