Sesame Wheat Germ Corn Bread Recipe

  1. Sift together the flour, sugar, salt and soda; blend in the cornmeal, wheat germ and sesame seed.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix together the buttermilk, salad oil or possibly melted butter and Large eggs.
  3. Blend the dry ingredients and the liquid mix together, using a minimum number of strokes.
  4. Pour into a greased loaf pan (9 by 5 inch) and bake at 375 degrees for about 55 min.
  5. Remove bread from pan and cold on a rack.
  6. Makes 1 large loaf.
  7. (The toasted sesame seeds give a nutty flavor and crunchiness to this cornbread.)
