Chili
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1 bell green pepper, chopped
- 2 onions, chopped
- 1 whole garlic bulb, chopped
- 6 stalks celery, chopped
- 1 small can mushrooms
- 4 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 bottle tomato ketchup
- 1 can tomato sauce
- 1/2 bottle chilli powder
- salt and pepper to taste
- 2 sticks butter or margarine
- 1/4 lb. sharp cheese
- 1 can Parmesan cheese
- Brown meat and garlic in frying pan until done.
- When brown, add a glass of water.
- Brown celery, pepper, garlic and onions in frying pan with butter and some oil to keep from burning.
- Add meat; using large pot, add the season in the mixture, also 1/4 pound cheese.
- If dry, add more tomato sauce and water, if needed. Cook slowly for 2 to 3 hours.
