stewed beans puertorican style
- 1 can beans (red, pink or pinto)
- 1 1/2 cup water
- 1/2 can tomato sauce
- 1 dash black pepper
- 1 dash garlic powder
- 1 dash oregano
- 1/2 envelope sazon (type of seasoning in latin food isle)
- 1/2 envelope beef stock bullion
- 3 sliced bacon
- 2 sliced hot dogs
- 1 sliced jalapeno (optional)
- mix ingredients in medium-large sauce pan
- might need to add more water if pan too large and beans are not covered
- set to medium heat and let them boil for 25 minutes
- if the beans arw drying out need to add more water and turn heat down.
- it should look thick soup
- serve over rice
