No-Bake Layered Lime Dessert

  1. Grate zest, then squeeze juice from 3 limes to measure 3 Tbsp.
  2. zest and 1/2 cup juice.
  3. Reserve 1 tsp.
  4. zest for garnish.
  5. Whisk remaining zest with lime juice and next 3 ingredients until blended.
  6. Arrange half the cake slices on bottom of 9-inch square dish, overlapping as necessary to fit; pour half the milk mixture over cake slices in dish.
  7. Repeat.
  8. Cover with Cool Whip.
  9. Refrigerate 2 hours.
  10. Make Citrus Twists from remaining limes.
  11. (See tip.)
  12. Use to garnish dessert along with the reserved zest.
