strawberry shortcake easy

• 10 slice pound cake
• 6 pints pints strawberries
• 1 1/2 cup sugar
• 12 oz cool whip or whipped cream

1. wash the berries and stem them (remove the green leave and the hard part where the steam and berry are attached
2. slice the berries add sugar let sit room temperature so the berries will release some of their juices
3. in bowls add cake
4. add berries
5. add whip topping
