Michelle's Mom's Meatloaf
- 2 eggs, lightly beaten
- 34 cup milk (2 percent)
- 23 cup finely crushed saltine (or Cheez-It crackers)
- 12 cup chopped onion
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 12 teaspoon rubbed sage
- 1 dash black pepper
- 1 12 lbs lean ground beef
- 1 cup ketchup
- 12 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- In a bowl, combine the first seven ingredients.
- Add beef; mix lightly but thoroughly.
- Shape into an 8X4" loaf in an ungreased 15X10X1" baking pan.
- In a small bowl, combine remaining ingredients, stirring to dissolve sugar; remove 1/2 cup for sauce.
- Spread remaining mixture over meat loaf.
- Bake 1 hour or until a thermometer reads 160 degrees.
- Let stand 10 minutes.
- Serve with reserved sauce.
