Classic Cheese And Pepper Pasta Sauce

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
  2. Add 1 pound spaghetti to the boiling water and cook according to package directions.
  3. Drain, reserving some of the pasta cooking water.
  4. Heat olive oil in a large heavy skillet over medium high heat.
  5. Stir in crushed black peppercorns and cook, stirring, until fragrant, about 1 to 2 minutes.
  6. Stir in the pasta and pasta cooking water.
  7. Slowly add Parmesan cheese and stir until the pasta is coated.
  8. Season with salt.
