Cold Vegetable Salad(This Salad Recipe Is My Sister, Luella'S, Favorite.)
- 1 can white corn, drained
- 1 can small peas, drained
- 1 can French-style green beans, drained
- 1 c. sugar
- 3/4 c. vinegar
- 1/2 c. salad oil
- 1 Tbsp. water
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 1 c. onions, chopped
- 1 c. celery, diced
- 1 c. green peppers, chopped
- 1 jar pimentos
- In a large bowl, mix corn, peas and green beans.
- Add onions, celery, green peppers and pimentos.
- In a saucepan, mix remaining ingredients and bring to a boil.
- Let cool, then pour over vegetables.
- Stir occasionally, and refrigerate 24 hours before serving.
- (It is possible to serve immediately, but the flavor is better if you wait.) Serves 8 to 12.
