Bob's Pasta Sauce

  1. Heat 2 tbsps of the oil in a large skillet and saute the mushrooms until they release their liquid.
  2. Transfer them to a large pot (I use a 4 qt.
  3. saucepan).
  4. Heat the remaining oil, sprinkle the oegano on the bottom, add the onions and garlic and saute until they begin to turn soft.
  5. Add the garlic and saute for 1 more minute.
  6. Transfer to the large pot.
  7. Add the rest of the ingredients except for the basil and the marjoram, and bring to a boil.
  8. Reduce the heat and simmer for about 2 hours.
  9. Add the basil and marjoram when you start cooking the pasta.
