Honey Pecan Cake
- 1 tsp. vinegar
- milk (enough to make 1 c.)
- 1 c. cooking oil
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 3 eggs
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
- 3 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp. ground cloves
- 1/2 c. chopped pecans
- 1/4 c. honey
- 1 Tbsp. water
- 1 Tbsp. lemon juice
- 6 large apples (Winesap is best but Granny Smith will do)
- 2 tsp. cinnamon
- 3 Tbsp. sugar
- 3 c. flour
- 2 1/2 c. sugar
- 3 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 4 eggs
- 1/3 c. orange juice
- 1 c. vegetable oil
- Preheat oven to 350u0b0.
- Coat peeled and sliced apples (1/8-inch thick) with cinnamon and sugar.
- Sift together dry ingredients and set aside in medium size bowl.
- In large bowl, mix together remaining ingredients at medium speed until smooth and gradually add dry ingredients, mixing until smooth.
