Chocolate Pie

  1. In a heavy saucepan, combine sugar, cocoa and flour.
  2. Add just enough of the milk to make a paste.
  3. Add egg yolks, heat until thoroughly blended.
  4. Stir in remaining milk and 1 teaspoon vanilla.
  5. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until mixture thickens.
  6. Remove from heat.
  7. Add margarine, stirring until melted.
  8. Pour into pie shell.
  9. In a small bowl, beat egg whites with electric mixer at high speed until soft peaks form. Gradually add sugar and vanilla, beating until stiff peaks form. Spread over pie filling.
  10. Bake at 350u0b0 about 5 minutes, until meringue is lightly browned.
