PHILADELPHIA 3-STEP Chocolate Layer Cheesecake

  1. Mix cream cheese, sugar and vanilla with electric mixer on medium speed until well blended.
  2. Add eggs; mix until blended.
  3. Stir melted chocolate into 1 cup of the batter.
  4. Pour chocolate batter into crust.
  5. Top with remaining plain batter.
  6. Bake at 350F for 40 minutes or until center is almost set.
  7. Cool.
  8. Refrigerate 3 hours or overnight.
  9. Garnish with candies and decorator gel.
  10. Store leftover cheesecake in refrigerator.
  11. Cheesecake Bars: Omit crust.
  12. Line 8-inch square baking pan with foil.
  13. Mix 1-1/2 cups chocolate sandwich cookie crumbs and 1/4 cup (1/2 stick) butter or margarine, melted; press onto bottom of pan.
  14. Prepare batters and layer in pan as directed.
  15. Bake and cool as directed.
  16. Cut into bars.
  17. Makes 16.
