Chicago Crunchy Chocolate Chip Cookies
- 3 1/2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
- 3 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. butter
- 1/2 c. margarine
- 1 c. firmly packed light brown sugar
- 1 c. granulated sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 Tbsp. milk
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 1 c. vegetable oil
- 1 c. corn flakes
- 1 c. quick oats
- 1 (12 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chips
- Sift flour, baking soda and salt onto wax paper.
- Preheat oven to 350u0b0.
- Beat butter, margarine, brown and regular sugars, egg, milk and vanilla in bowl until well blended.
- Stir in flour mixture alternately with oil until mixture is thoroughly mixed. Stir in corn flakes, oats and chocolate chips.
- Drop by heaping teaspoons onto ungreased cookie sheets, 2 inches apart.
- Bake in a preheated moderate oven (350u0b0) for 12 minutes or until golden brown.
- Cool on racks.
