Vanilla French Toast With Sweet Cream Cheese And Fresh Blackberry Syrup

  1. Beat cream cheese and powdered sugar with a stand mixer until smooth.
  2. Add in vanilla and lemon zest.
  3. Beat until combined
  4. Whisk together vanilla, cream (or milk) and egg.
  5. Dip a piece of bread in mixture and place on a hot skillet.
  6. Fry on both sides for about 2 minutes until it is golden brown.
  7. Repeat with other slice of bread
  8. Add blackberries, sugar, and mint to a sauce pan.
  9. Cook for a few minutes on medium stirring often until sugar melts and the blackberries have begun to lose their juice.
  10. Take off the heat and remove the mint leaves
  11. Place French toast on plate.
  12. Top with cream cheese mixture and blackberry syrup.
  13. Enjoy!
