Spicy, Smoky, Sweet Roasted Chickpeas
- 1 can (15 Oz. Size) Garbanzo Beans, Drained, Rinsed And Dried
- 1 Tablespoon Olive Oil
- 2 Tablespoons Garam Masala (homemade Or Store Bought)
- 1 Tablespoon Brown Sugar
- Chopped Curry Leaves, For Garnish (optional)
- Preheat oven to 425 degrees F.
- Drain and rinse beans.
- Place between a few sheets of paper towel and gently roll hands back and forth to help dry them.
- Some of the skin will come off, but thats okay.
- Transfer dried beans to a bowl.
- Add olive oil, garam masala, brown sugar and stir well to combine.
- Place beans on a rimmed baking sheet and spread into even layer.
- Bake for 30 minutes, tossing after 20 minutes.
- Chickpeas are done when they are toasted and slightly crispy.
- Garnish with chopped curry leaves if desired.
