Rachel's Green Bean Casserole
- 10 12 ounces condensed cream of mushroom soup
- 14 cup milk
- 18 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 12 cups frozen green beans
- 13 cup frozen cut okra
- 2 large onions, diced
- 12 cup plain breadcrumbs
- 1 12 teaspoons seasoning salt
- 12 cup canola oil, for frying
- Steam the green beans and okra.
- In an ungreased 1.5-quart baking dish (I like to use a deep 10" round pan), blend all the BATTER ingredients together.
- Add the veggies and fully blend.
- Dice the onion into thin 1" curls.
- Mix the breadcrumbs and seasoned salt together in a bowl.
- Coat the onion pieces.
- Fry the onion pieces in the canola oil until golden brown, and blot on paper towels.
- Mix about half the fried onions into the casserole, and top the dish with the remaining onions.
- Bake at 350 for 30-45 minutes.
- Let cool for 5-10 minutes, serve and enjoy!
