Cincinnati Chili

  1. Combine the hamburger, onions and 1 quart water; simmer together for 30 minutes.
  2. Add the remaining ingredients.
  3. Simmer, uncovered, for 2 to 3 hours, until thickened.
  4. Refrigerate overnight.
