Chocolate Truffles

  1. This recipe gives you tons of freedom to do whatever you want.
  2. Truffles can be one of those recipes that seem imitating and difficult, but they're very easy.
  3. So step one: pep talk.
  4. Place your chocolate in a bowl
  5. Heat your heavy whipping cream until a simmer.
  6. Make sure to stirr so the cream doesnt curdle.
  7. Pour your heated cream onto the chocolate and do not stir.
  8. Do not touch.
  9. Ignore it.
  10. For at least five minutes
  11. Once those five minutes are up, you are allowed to stir.
  12. Stir stir stir.
  13. Then cover that mixture up with tinfoil and plop that sucker into the fridge
  14. I went plain jane on that one, but if you wanted to add any of the flavorings feel free to before popping it into the fridge.
  15. Let that mixture chill out over night
  16. Once the mixtures hardens prepare yourself for brown hands.
  17. Scoop out a tablespoon of the mixture and rolls between your hands.
  18. Once all the balls are formed put back into the fridge for at least half an hour.
  19. You can prepare your toppings in the meantime
  20. When rolling your truffles anything nuts and pretzels make sure to press gently on the balls when you roll them in the topping so it sticks.
  21. Put them in the fridge until ready to serve
