Fluffy Moist Anpan (Bread Roll filled with Anko)

  1. These are the ingredients.
  2. Leave the dough up to the bread machine.
  3. Remove from the bread machine.
  4. Divide into 55 g portions and form each one into a round.
  5. Cover the dough with a kitchen towel and let sit for 15 minutes.
  6. Divide the anko into 40 g portions.
  7. Roll out Step 3 into circles about 10cm in diameter, and wrap around the anko balls.
  8. Roll Step 5 in your hands to make them round, and make a small indent in the centre with your finger.
  9. Spray water on Step 6.
  10. Let sit in 35C for 30 minutes to proof.
  11. Brush on beaten egg and sprinkle sesame seeds or poppy seeds on top.
  12. Bake in a 180C preheated oven for 12 to 15 minutes, and they're done.
