Tempeh Reuben Sandwich
- 8 ounces tempeh
- 38 cup nutritional yeast flakes
- 18 cup whole wheat pastry flour
- 14 teaspoon salt
- 14 teaspoon garlic powder
- 14 cup water
- 13 cup soybean oil
- 18 teaspoon horseradish
- 14 tablespoon prepared mustard
- 38 cup sauerkraut
- Mix dry ingredients in a saucepan.
- Add water slowly, whisking to avoid lumps.
- Heat gently over a low to medium flame, whisking constantly until thick and creamy.
- Remove from heat and whisk in oil, horseradish and mustard.
- To make the sandwich, spread one slice of dark bread with your favorite mayo, then layer with 1/4 cake of crisply fried tempeh, 3 tablespoons warm sauerkraut, and 1/4 cup of the sauce prepared above.
- Top with another slice of dark bread and enjoy!
