Upside-Down German Chocolate Cake
- 1 c. coconut, flaked
- 1 c. pecans
- 1 pkg. German chocolate cake mix
- 3 large eggs
- 1 1/4 c. water
- 1/4 c. vegetable oil
- 1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
- 1/2 c. butter
- 3 1/2 c. powdered sugar (1 lb.)
- Grease 13 x 9 x 2 pan; line bottom with wax paper and spray with Pam.
- Sprinkle coconut and pecans over bottom of pan.
- Combine cake mix, water, eggs and oil and beat according to box directions. Pour batter over coconut/pecans.
- In saucepan, combine cream cheese and butter.
- Melt over low heat.
- May use mixer to thoroughly combine.
- Add powdered sugar.
- Pour over batter, being careful not to pour too close to the sides of the pan.
- Bake 40 minutes at 350u0b0.
- Remove from oven.
- Cool 10 minutes and invert into a serving platter.
