Savory Pot Roast

  1. Brown roast in oil in a Dutch oven.
  2. Remove meat and set aside.
  3. Saute onions and garlic in drippings until tender.
  4. Return roast to Dutch oven and add cut up tomatoes and remaining ingredients using 1/2 water.
  5. Cover and cook until meat is tender about 2 or 3 hours.
  6. Remove roast to serving platter, keeping it warm.
  7. Add flour and remaining water to pan juices.
  8. Cook for about 5 minutes until thick and bubbly.
  9. Slice roast and serve with gravy.
