Three-in-One Oatmeal Cookies
- 1-1/2 cups (350 ml) butter or margarine
- 2 cups (475 ml) packaged brown sugar
- 1 cup (225 ml) sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) milk
- 1/2 tsp (2 ml) baking soda
- 2 tsp (10 ml) baking powder
- 2 tsp (10 ml) vanilla extract
- 3 cups (700 ml) all-purpose flour
- 2 cups (475 ml) rolled oats
- 1 cup (225 ml) chocolate chips or English toffee (optional)
- 1/2 cup (125 ml) chopped walnuts (optional)
- 1 cup (225 ml) raisins
- 1 tsp (5 ml) cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp (1 ml) cloves
- 1 cup (225 ml) snipped gumdrops or candy coated milk chocolate drops
- 1 cup (225 ml) raisins
- 1 tsp (5 ml) cinnamon ground
- 1/4 tsp (1 ml) cloves ground
- In large mixing bowl using hand mixer cream butter 30 seconds.
- Add sugars, eggs, milk, vanilla, baking powder, and baking soda.
- Beat until combined.
- Beat in as much flour as you can.
- Using wooden spoon, stir in remaining flour then fold in oats.
- Use hands.

- Separate batter into three bowls.
- Add the above ingredients into each bowl.
- Incorporate into batter for each.
- This gives you three types of cookies to enjoy using one batter.
- Preheat oven 375 degrees (200 C.).
- Ddrop tsp-rounds of dough onto ungreased cookie sheet 2 inches apart.
- Bake until outer edges harden and turn golden and center is soft--13 to 15 minutes for large cookies and 9 to 11 minutes for small ones.
- Cool on cookie sheet 1 minute then remove to rack to cool.
- Store in airtight container or plastic bag.
