Curried Pear Halves
- 29 ounces pears halves, undrained
- 13 cup butter or margarine
- 3/4 cup brown sugar, dark firmly packed
- 2 teaspoons curry powder
- 1 x sour cream
- Drain pear halves and reserve 13 cup of the liquid.
- Place pear halves in shallow, 1 1/2-quart, heat-resistant, non-metallic baking dish.
- In a small, heat-resistant, non-metallic bowl, melt butter or Stir in reserved pear liquid, brown sugar and curry powder to taste.
- Spread curry mixture over pears and heat, uncovered.
- Serve warm with dollops of sour cream, if desired.
