Blueberry-White Chocolate Chunk Scones
- 3 cups flour
- 1/4 cup plus 2 Tbsp. turbinado sugar, divided
- 1 Tbsp. Magic Baking Powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 3/4 cup cold unsalted butter, cut into small pieces
- 3/4 cup plus 2 Tbsp. milk, divided
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 Tbsp. lemon zest
- 1 cup blueberries Whole Foods 3 For $10.00 thru 02/09
- 1 pkg. (170 g) Baker's White Chocolate, chopped
- Heat oven to 375F.
- Mix flour, 1/4 cup sugar, baking powder and salt in large bowl.
- Cut in butter with pastry blender or 2 knives until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Add 3/4 cup milk, egg and zest; stir just until mixture forms dough.
- Stir in blueberries and chocolate.
- Divide dough in half.
- On lightly floured surface, pat each half into 7-inch round.
- Cut each round into 8 wedges.
- Place on baking sheet.
- Brush with remaining milk; sprinkle with remaining sugar.
- Bake 25 min.
- or until golden brown.
