Boboutie Recipe

  1. Preheat oven to 300F/150C/gas mark 2
  2. Heat butter in heavy frying pan and soften onion and apple for 10 mins.
  3. Stir in almonds, turn up heat and add in mince.
  4. Cook to colour for 5 min, stirring.
  5. Add in curry pwdr, sugar, lemon juice, seasoning and cook for a few min more.
  6. Meanwhile, whisk Large eggs and lowfat milk together, pour half mix onto bread in a basin and soak for 5 mins.
  7. When soft, beat well and add in to meat mix.
  8. Put in 1 pint ovenproof dish, pour on rest of lowfat milk mix and bake for 45 mins.
