Boboutie Recipe
- 4 ounce mince (beef) Small onion minced
- 1/2 sm cooking apple minced
- 1/2 ounce butter
- 10 whl almonds, roughly minced
- 1/2 x level tsp warm curry pwdr
- 1/2 tsp brown sugar
- 1 x dessertspoonful lemon juice
- 1 lrg egg
- 2 1/2 fl ounce ounce ounce. lowfat milk
- 1/2 ounce bread without crusts Salt/pepper
- Preheat oven to 300F/150C/gas mark 2
- Heat butter in heavy frying pan and soften onion and apple for 10 mins.
- Stir in almonds, turn up heat and add in mince.
- Cook to colour for 5 min, stirring.
- Add in curry pwdr, sugar, lemon juice, seasoning and cook for a few min more.
- Meanwhile, whisk Large eggs and lowfat milk together, pour half mix onto bread in a basin and soak for 5 mins.
- When soft, beat well and add in to meat mix.
- Put in 1 pint ovenproof dish, pour on rest of lowfat milk mix and bake for 45 mins.
