Light Biscuits
- 1/4 c. Fleischmann's reduced calorie margarine (in the tub)
- 2 c. flour, sifted
- 1 Tbsp. baking powder
- 1/4 tsp. soda
- 1 (8 oz.) carton plain nonfat or low-fat yogurt
- 1 tsp. honey
- Preheat
- oven
- to
- 425u0b0.
- Sift flour, baking powder and soda together
- in
- a large mixing bowl.
- Cut in the margarine until the
- texture is like coarse meal.
- Add the honey to the yogurt and
- add
- this
- mixture to the flour mixture, stirring with
- a fork
- until
- all ingredients are moistened.
- Turn the dough
- onto a floured surface and knead 10 times.
- Roll out to 3/4-inch thickness
- and
- cut
- with
- a
- 2-inch biscuit cutter. Place
- on
- an ungreased
- baking sheet and bake at 425u0b0 for 12 minutes. Yields 18 biscuits.
