Awesome Cucumber Infusion Summer Cocktail
- 1 (750 ml) bottle vodka (cheap brands are okay, the cucumber is all you taste anyway)
- 1 large cucumber, peeled, seeded, and diced
- 1 large cucumber, scored and sliced into rounds
- 1 (20 ounce) bottle cranberry juice
- 1 12 cups water
- 1 12 cups sugar
- 1 cup lemon juice (preferably not from concentrate)
- 1 cup lime juice (preferably not from concentrate)
- Pour vodka and cucumbers into an airtight jar or bottle.
- Save the vodka bottle.
- Place bottle out of sunlight (under the sink or in a cabinet) for 2 weeks.
- Strain back into the original vodka bottle.
- Ta-da!
- Cucumber vodka.
- Heat the water and sugar on the stove, stirring, until the sugar melts.
- Allow to cool.
- Mix sugar syrup with lime and lemon juices in a pitcher or bottle.
- Ta-da!
- Sour mix.
- Pour equal parts cucumber vodka, homemade sour, and cranberry juice over ice.
- Garnish with cucumber slices!
- I like to run a peeler down the sides of the cucumber a few times before slicing so the slices will look "striped.
