onion parathas
- 2 cup whole wheat flour
- 1 bunch green coriander
- 1 tsp cumin powder
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 1 dash garam masala
- 1 dash turmeric powder
- 1 salt to taste
- 1 water
- 2 tsp oil
- 2 medium green chillies(chopped)
- 3 large onions(finely chopped)
- in a medium bowl mix all ingredients except water
- mix gently 2 resemble coarse crumbs.
- add enough water 2 form a soft dough.
- divide the dough into equal balls.
- roll each ball into a circle with a rolling pin dusting the parathas with a little flour at intervals until it is .5 cm thick(approx)
- heat a non stick skillet(until it just startes 2 smoke).
- cook paratha on the skillet on both sides until it goldens with a few brown spots by applying a little oil on each side.
- serve with curd,butter or indian pickels
- this is gr8 in lunch boxes!!

- tip:dont let the dough rest as the salt dehydrates the onion & the dough tends 2 get soggy which is difficult 2 handle
