onion parathas

  1. in a medium bowl mix all ingredients except water
  2. mix gently 2 resemble coarse crumbs.
  3. add enough water 2 form a soft dough.
  4. divide the dough into equal balls.
  5. roll each ball into a circle with a rolling pin dusting the parathas with a little flour at intervals until it is .5 cm thick(approx)
  6. heat a non stick skillet(until it just startes 2 smoke).
  7. cook paratha on the skillet on both sides until it goldens with a few brown spots by applying a little oil on each side.
  8. serve with curd,butter or indian pickels
  9. this is gr8 in lunch boxes!!

  12. tip:dont let the dough rest as the salt dehydrates the onion & the dough tends 2 get soggy which is difficult 2 handle
