Fruity Green Tea Toddy
- 2 green tea bags
- 1 cup orange juice
- 1 cup natural pear juice or 1 cup pear nectar
- 1 cup pineapple juice
- 4 orange slices, halved
- 4 lemon slices, halved
- 2 cups water, boiled and cooled to 175
- 3 tablespoons caramel syrup
- lemon slice, cut in quarters
- Add tea bags to prewarmed teapot; set aside.
- Add orange juice, pear juice, and pineapple juice to a saucepan; add in the fruit slices.
- Carefully bring to a simmer over low heat.
- Add water to the teapot and steep for 2 minutes.
- Strain the brewed tea into the juice mixture and bring the heat back to a simmer.
- Add in the caramel syrup; mix well; discard the fruit slices.
- Ladle the hot tea into teacups or mugs; garnish with 2 pieces of lemon; serve.
