Basic Plain Pasta
- 100 grams Durum Semolina flour
- 1 Egg
- 1 tbsp Olive oil
- 1 Salt
- Add semolina powder to a bowl to make the dough, make a dent in the center, and add the egg, salt, and oil (If there is anything you want to mix into the dough, then add in this step.
- Please check outfor ideas).
- First, thoroughly mix the ingredients inside the dent with a fork, gradually mixing in the flour from the edges of the indent.
- Once the dough has formed into a big ball, knead well by hand.
- (Coat your hands with a bit of flour if the dough sticks, or add a bit if oil or water if the dough is hard).
- Cover with plastic wrap and let sit for 1 hour, stretch out the dough, and fold it into thirds (folding in the uneven ends).
- Repeat stretching and folding 2 more times.
- Stretch the dough out to desired thickness after rolling it out.
- (Setting 4 or 5 is the best if using a pasta machine).
- Cover with lots of flour, and cut the noodles.
- Coat the noodles with lots of flour so that they don't stick together, and hang them for a while to dry (drying the noodles will add body to the noodles.)
- Boil the pasta in hot water for 1-2 minutes, and it is done.
- Enjoy it with your favorite sauce.
