Leggett Corn

  1. Pour creamed corn in a bowl.
  2. Stir in crumbled crackers until thickened.
  3. Even out with milk and then add more crackers.
  4. Continue until mixture is thick, but not stiff- like a pudding.
  5. (There are no exact amounts, so play on your own tastes!)
  6. Pepper to taste (optional, but the pepper is included in the original recipe.)
  7. Pour into baking dish.
  8. Sprinkle a layer of crumbled crackers evenly over corn mixture.
  9. Sprinkle paprika over cracker topping.
  10. Put in oven at 375 and bake until topping is crisp and slightly browned.
  11. (Careful- if it gets too brown, it won't taste right!
  12. It should be bubbly when done.
