Jan'S Peanut Brittle

  1. Cook over medium heat sugar, water, Karo, margarine and peanuts, stirring most

  3. Stir constantly from about hard ball stage on.

  6. Will scorch easily. You may need

  9. different temperatures because altitude will make a difference.tYou

  11. need to cook beyond 310u0b0.) Remove from heat.tdd soda and vanilla.
  12. Stir well.
  13. (Mixture will turn olive drabtreen.)
  14. Pour

  16. onto buttered cookie sheet.
  17. Let set about 1 hour before breaking apart.
  18. Best left uncovered when possible;
  19. gets sticky in a container.
