Nutty Apple Salad
- 2-1/2 cups Canned crushed pineapple in juice, well drained, juice reserved
- 1-1/4 cups Reserved pineapple juice
- 1-1/4 cups sugar
- 5 Tbsp. flour
- 5 each eggs, lightly beaten
- 1/2 cup HEINZ Apple Cider Vinegar
- 1-1/4 qt. COOL WHIP Whipped Topping, thawed
- 1-1/4 gal. Red Delicious apples, chopped
- 1-1/4 cups PLANTERS Dry Roasted Peanuts Rite Aid Buy 1 Get 1 Free thru 02/06
- Mix pineapple, reserved juice, sugar, flour, egg and vinegar in large saucepot until well blended.
- Cook on low heat until thickened, stirring occasionally.
- Cool completely.
- Spoon into large bowl.
- Fold in whipped topping and apples.
- Cover and refrigerate several hours or until chilled.
- Sprinkle with peanuts just before serving.
