Gingerbread

  1. Preheat oven to 350u0b0.
  2. Lightly spray an 8-inch square baking pan with vegetable oil.
  3. In a large bowl, blend together molasses, brown sugar, oil and spices.
  4. Stir in boiling water.
  5. Mix in flour; set aside.
  6. In a small bowl, dissolve baking soda in 2 tablespoons hot water; stir to mix well.
  7. Add to batter.
  8. Bake in prepared baking pan 30 minutes.
  9. Remove from oven and slice into 12 equal portions.
  10. Serve warm.
