Easy Cheesy Lasagna
- 1 lb. Italian sausage or ground beef
- 1/2 c. onions, chopped
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 (32 oz.) jar (3 1/2 c.) spaghetti sauce
- 3/4 c. water
- 1/2 (8 oz.) pkg. extra wide lasagna noodles
- 1 lb. (2 c.) Ricotta or creamy-style cottage cheese
- 1/2 c. Parmesan cheese, grated
- 1 Tbsp. parsley, chopped
- 3 c. (12 oz.) Mozzarella cheese, shredded
- Heat oven to 375u0b0.
- Brown Italian sausage (or ground beef), onions and garlic.
- Drain.
- Return meat mixture to pan and stir in spaghetti sauce and water.
- In a 13 x 9-inch baking dish, layer 1/3 of sauce mixture, half the uncooked noodles, half the combined Ricotta or cottage cheese and parsley and 1/2 of Mozzarella cheese. Repeat layers, ending with sauce mixture.
- Cover with foil.
- Bake 1 hour, uncover and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
- Let stand 10 minutes.
