Doll Festival Sushi Cake
- 1000 grams Plain cooked rice
- 4 tbsp Sushi vinegar
- 3 eggs: 1 tablespoon sugar Eggs, sugar
- 1 can tuna , 1 heaping tablespoon mayonnaise Tuna, mayonnaise
- 2 Cherry tomatoes
- 10 cm Freshly-harvested ginger
- 1 dash Fish sausage
- 1 dash Sakura Denbu (Fish mashed and seasoned with sakura)
- 1 Nori seaweed
- Mix the sushi vinegar into warm rice, mixing it together as if cutting as it cools.
- Drain the tuna, and mix it together with the mayonnaise.
- Whisk the egg, mix in the sugar, and make a Japanese omelette with just 1 tablespoon of the mixture.
- Use the rest of the egg as filling.
- Pack the rice into a springform pan.
- Spread all of the egg filling.
- Cover with more rice on top, spread out the tuna filling, and cover with more rice.
- Remove it from the cake mold.
- Cover with nori seaweed, and top it with the other ingredients.
- If you thinly slice fresh ginger at an angle, it looks like flower petals.Cut the omelette into long, thin strips.
- Cut the tomatoes in half.
- When decorating the whole cake, squirt a little bit of mayonnaise (not listed) onto the bottom half of the tomatoes, and press them onto the cake.
- Cut the fish sausages with a cookie cutter.
- It will be adorable if you use the ginger to make flowers around the edges as shown above!
