Double-Caramel Apple Torte
- 30 KRAFT Caramels, divided
- 1-1/2 cups cold milk, divided
- 27 vanilla wafers, finely crushed (about 1 cup)
- 1 cup chopped PLANTERS Pecans
- 2 pkg. (3.4 oz. each) JELL-O Vanilla Flavor Instant Pudding
- 1 cup thawed COOL WHIP Whipped Topping
- 1 cup apple pie filling
- 1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon
- Microwave 15 caramels and 2 Tbsp.
- milk in large microwaveable bowl on HIGH for 1-1/2 min.
- or until caramels are melted, stirring after 1 min.
- Add wafer crumbs and nuts; mix well.
- Press onto bottom of 9-inch tart pan with removable bottom or springform pan.
- Place remaining caramels and 2 Tbsp.
- milk in another large microwaveable bowl; microwave on HIGH 1-1/2 min.
- or until caramels are melted, stirring after 1 min.
- Stir in remaining milk and dry pudding mixes with whisk; beat 2 min.
- Stir in COOL WHIP.
- Pour into prepared crust.
- Top with pie filling.
- Sprinkle with cinnamon.
- Refrigerate 3 hours or until firm.
