Easy Chocolate Trifle Recipe

  1. Heat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Grease and flour rectangular pan, 13 x 9 inch.
  3. Bake and cold cake.
  4. Cut into halves.
  5. Freeze half for future use.
  6. Cut remaining half into 1 inch pcs.
  7. Arrange half in 3 qt glass serving bowl.
  8. Spoon 1/4 c. preserves over pcs; sprinkle with 1/2 c. strawberries.
  9. Spread with 1 c. whipped topping.
  10. Repeat with remaining cake pcs, preserves, strawberries, and whipped topping.
  11. Chill till chilled.
  12. Prepare pudding.
  13. Spread over trifle.
  14. Chill 4 hrs.
  15. Serve cool.
