Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookies

  1. Pre heat oven to 350F
  2. In a medium mixing bowl, mix shortening, butter, sugars, eggs, and vanilla extract.
  3. Blend until creamed.
  4. Add vanilla pudding mix, salt, baking soda.
  5. Mix well.
  6. Add flour in 1/2 cup at a time and mix until flour is moistened before adding more flour.
  7. Mix in chocolate chips and nuts.
  8. Scoop one large tablespoon of dough and form into a ball.
  9. Pull the dough ball in half and stack the two pieces on top of each other with the torn end facing upward onto ungreased cookie sheet.
  10. (NOT INTENDED TO BE PERFECTLY FORMED BALLS)
  11. ONLY Bake for 10-12 minutes.
