Deep Dish Pizza Recipe
- 1/2 pound grnd chuck
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1/2 c. sliced mushrooms
- Ripe olives, a few
- 1 onion, minced
- 1/2 green pepper, minced
- 1/8 teaspoon garlic pwdr
- 1 green pepper, cut into rings
- Green olives, a few
- Preheat oven to 450 degrees.
- Saute/fry grnd chuck, minced onions, minced green peppers in heavy skillet till there is no red in meat and vegetables are tender.
- Drain fat.
- Set aside 1 Tbsp.
- oil.
- Saute/fry sliced mushrooms, pepper rings till slightly tender; set aside.
- Cover crust with sauce.
- Add in meat.
- Top with mushrooms, pepper rings, minced olives if you like.
- Cover with Mozzarella cheese, grated.
- Bake 15-20 min or possibly till crust is golden.
- Don't burn the cheese.
- Makes 4-6 servings.
- VEGETARIAN DEEP DISH PIZZA: Use 1 1/2 c. Vegetarian Burger or possibly Redi-burger or possibly other meat analogues.
- Sauce: 1 can pizza sauce.
- Cheese: 1 to 1 1/2 c. grated Mozzarella cheese.
