Caramelised Apples on Waffles
- 60g unsalted butter
- 4 Granny Smith apples, peeled, cored and sliced
- 1/3 cup caster sugar
- 1 tablespoon brandy
- 2 teaspoons lemon juice
- 125g block PHILADELPHIA Light Cream Cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup cream
- 1 tablespoon caster sugar, extra
- 8 waffles, toasted
- 1/4 cup slivered almonds, toasted
- Melt butter in a large non-stick frying pan over medium heat.
- Add apples and cook until starting to turn golden.
- Add sugar, brandy and lemon juice.
- Stir over low heat for 10 minutes until golden and syrupy.
- Beat together the Philly*, cream and extra sugar until smooth.
- Serve waffles topped with caramelised apples, toasted almonds and Philly* cream.
