Abby & Bens Favorite Stew
- 2 pounds Beef, Venison Or Pork, Cubed
- 2 Tablespoons Olive Oil
- 3 cups Canned Kidney Beans
- 1- 1/2 cup Chopped Onion
- 1 cup Cooking Sherry
- 1 cup Water
- 1 clove Garlic, Minced
- Salt And Pepper, to taste
- Brown meat cubes in olive oil in dutch oven.
- Add remaining ingredients, mix well, cover and bake in a 350 degree oven for 2 1/2 to 3 hours.
- We love the leftovers so much we usually double the recipe.
- This also works well in a crock pot or pressure cooker.
- For the pressure cooker, cook for 20 minutes at 15 lbs.
- pressure, but cut the water to 1/2 cup.
- For the crock pot, put it in at lunch on high and itll be ready for supper.
- Serve with bread sticks or crackers and sliced apples or applesauce!
- This is a family favorite.
- Cook time should be 2 1/2 to 3 hours.
