Go Nuts About My Gingernuts

  1. combine butter, sugar and golden syrup in pan.
  2. stir over heat until butter is melted.
  3. remove from heat.
  4. stir in sifted dry ingredients.
  5. stand until mixture feels warm to the touch.
  6. roll 2 level teaspoons of mixture into balls.
  7. place on greased oven trays, about 3cm apart.
  8. flatten slightly.
  9. bake in moderate oven about 12 minutes or until browned.
  10. loosen biscuits.
  11. cool on trays.
  12. (can be made a week ahead, store in an airtight container, can freeze).
