Individual Meat Loaves
- 1 1/2 lb. lean ground beef
- 1/2 lb. hot ground pork sausage
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1/2 tsp. poultry seasoning
- 2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 5 slices white bread
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 c. milk
- 1 1/2 c. soft bread crumbs
- 1 1/2 c. chili sauce
- 1/2 c. boiling water
- Combine first 7 ingredients; set aside.
- Remove crust from bread; cut bread into cubes.
- Combine bread cubes, eggs and milk in a mixing bowl; beat at medium speed with an electric mixer until smooth.
- Stir in meat mixture and shape into 6 individual loaves.
- Roll each in bread crumbs.
- Place in a lightly greased 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan.
- Spread chili sauce over loaves.
- Pour boiling water into dish.
- Bake, uncovered, at 350u0b0 for 1 hour. Transfer loaves to a serving platter.
- Yield:
- 6 servings.
