Orange Brownies
- 1 1/2 cup A.P. flour
- 2 cup sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 4 large eggs
- 2 tsp pure orange extract
- 1 tsp grated orange zest
- Pre-heat oven to 350, prep 9 x 13 pan.
- In a medium bowl, stir tog.
- flour, sugar and salt.
- Add butter, eggs, extract and 1 tsp.
- orange zest.
- Use a hand mixer to blend well.
- Pour batter into prepared pan and bake for 30 min.
- or until light golden brown.
- Remove from oven and pierce entire cake with a fork if you are putting on the orange glaze.
- GLAZE: Mix tog.
- confectioner's sugar, orange juice and 1 tsp.
- orange zest.
- Stir until smooth and pour over warm cake.
- Cool completely.
- ORANGE CREAM CHEESE BUTTERCREAM: In a large bowl, whip tog.
- 8 oz.
- cream cheese, 4 Tbsp.
- softened butter.
- Gradually add in the confectioner sugar and beat until smooth.
- Add in 2 Tbsp.
- orange zest and 2 Tbsp.
- fresh orange juice.
- Spread evenly over brownies, cut into squares, serve
