Cinnamon Chocolate Chip Rounds

  1. Combine butter and 1 cup sugar in bowl.
  2. Beat at medium speed, scraping bowl often, until creamy.
  3. Add egg, milk and vanilla; continue beating until well mixed.
  4. Add flour, baking powder and 1 teaspoon cinnamon; beat at low speed, scraping bowl often, until well mixed.
  5. Stir in chocolate chips.
  6. Divide dough in half; shape each half into 8-inch log.
  7. Combine 1/4 cup sugar and 1 teaspoon cinnamon in bowl.
  8. Spread sugar mixture onto waxed paper.
  9. Roll each log in sugar mixture until outside is well coated; wrap each in plastic food wrap.
  10. Refrigerate 2 hours or until firm.
  11. Heat oven to 375F.
  12. Cut logs into 1/4-inch slices using sharp knife.
  13. Place 1 inch apart onto ungreased cookie sheets.
  14. Bake 8-10 minutes or until edges are firm and bottoms are lightly browned.
  15. Cool 1 minute on cookie sheets; remove to cooling rack.
