Chewy Chocolate Cookies

  1. Preheat the oven to 350F.
  2. In a large bowl, cream the butter and sugars until light and fluffy.
  3. Add in the eggs and the vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, sift the flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt and stir using a fork or wisk to blend.
  5. Gradually mix the flour mixture into the creamed mixture.
  6. Once combined, stir in the chocolate chips.
  7. Using a small scoop, drop the cookie dough onto ungreased cookie sheets.
  8. Bake approximately 8 minutes.
  9. Cookies will be soft but will harden once cooled.
  10. Let cool for a few minutes to harden, then remove to a wire rack to completely cool.
